About Me
Senior Specialist Fertility Counsellor
With over 20 years of experience in fertility counselling, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals and couples as they navigate the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges of fertility treatment. Having worked extensively within the NHS, private fertility clinics, and private practice, I understand the complexities of the fertility journey and provide a compassionate, inclusive, and holistic approach to care.
I work with people from all walks of life, including heterosexual and same-sex couples, single parents by choice, and individuals exploring alternative family-building options such as donation, surrogacy, and adoption. Whether you're at the start of fertility investigations, undergoing treatment, or considering egg or sperm freezing, my goal is to provide non-judgemental, supportive counselling that helps you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make informed decisions.
Beyond my clinical work, I am actively involved in shaping best practices in fertility counselling as the Chair of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA), the Counsellor Representative for the British Fertility Society (BFS), and a Trustee for the Fertility Alliance. I have co-authored essential guidelines, including the BICA Guidelines for Good Practice in Fertility Counselling (4th Ed. 2019) and Counselling in Surrogacy in UK Licensed Centres (2021). My research has explored the emotional impact of infertility, particularly in areas such as the workplace and donor conception.
I firmly believe that emotional support is just as important as physical care in the fertility journey. My commitment is to improve accessibility to counselling services, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, receives the guidance and support they need.
